Free State South Africa Website Twin Oaks Guest Farm is situated on a working cattle farm in the Modderpoort Valley, west from Ladybrand in the Eastern Free State. The farm is known for its peaceful and quiet surroundings, offering an ideal breakaway or retreat from city life. At Twin Oaks Guest Farm we offer affordable Self-Catering, B&B or D, B&B accommodation for business travellers, contract workers or -consultants (we are close to the Lesotho border at Maseru), families and friends in four spacious, uncluttered, fully equipped units with a private entrance to each unit. (Each unit has a TV with DSTV.) Only white, cotton percale linen is used. There is a huge fire place in the main lounge/dining room which also doubles as a small conference room. Catering facilities are offered from the farm kitchen. (Sorry, no bar, but alcoholic beverages can be bought on your behalf by special arrangement with management.) We have a 4x4 route on the farm for pleasure or training purposes. Cyclists practising for major national events, also make use of the 4x4 route. Hikers regularly enjoy the beauty of Viervoet Mountain. A guided hiking trail is available. The very unique San rock paintings on the farm can be visited by prior arrangement with the guide. Orange Springs offers an amazing opportunity for stargazing on a clear night. (Especially the Milky Way) This establishment is stripped from the glitz and glamour offered by the world and can only be seen as a place to find oneself again. The riverbed is also a popular area where lion stalk and catch their pray.
